Just Us! Coffee
Just Us! Coffee is Canada’s first fair trade and organic coffee roaster. Just Us! reached out to me to explore a redesign of their coffee packaging for cafes, custom label and grocery stores.
During the discovery phase we identified several goals and business objectives we would accomplish through design. These ranged from improving shelf appearance in stores, strengthening brand recognition, clarifying and organizing the product line and improving customer understanding and retention.
As seen above we moved the Just Us! brand to the top of the hierarchy by placing it on the top of the bag. The bags were given a uniform color and a highlight color was selected for each individual roast to better differentiate them from one another.
The printed side gussets were color coded along with the accent color to give a bold pop of color and further establish the color organization of the product line. Just Us! is proud of who they are and the work they do so this was a great opportunity to show of the brand name loudly on the side in large letters, strengthening the brand recognition.
The new design brings cohesion throughout the product line and displays a strong brand identity while the colors make the product line easy to navigate. This recognition and easy of navigation will drive sales through sales conversion and customer retention.
