Halifax Transit

Approved by the Halifax Regional Council in May 2023, this groundbreaking initiative marks a historic milestone. With an investment of over $112 million from federal, provincial, and municipal entities, the project boasts a fleet expansion involving more than 200 electric buses. These buses, a testament to innovation, aim not just for efficiency but for environmental harmony.

Investing in greener public transit infrastructure in Halifax

The bus graphics I designed capture Halifax’s essence, merging iconic landmarks—like Citadel Hill's clock tower and the Wave statue—with elements symbolizing eco-consciousness. Lighthouses, buses, ferries, seagulls, and whales, interconnected by vibrant lines resembling electric cables, adorn the buses' sides and rear. This design is more than just visuals; it's a statement—a testament to a city united for sustainable progress.

This project was undertaken to help bring attention to this step forward in the city’s environmentally sustainable infrastructure.
