Zombie Themed Halloween Poster Tutorial

I have something a little different to share today.

Earlier this week I had the incredible pleasure of working with folks over at Design Cuts. They offer big discount deals on design resources. Along with each different deal they post tutorials, showing how the resources can be used in some really cool designs.

In their most recent deal they are offering Go Media’s Ultimate Vector Collection (49 vector packs) for only $25

I used just two of the 49 vector packs included in the deal to write a tutorial for this Zombie Themed Halloween Poster. You can find my tutorial, along with the deal, on the Design Cuts Website.

If you like my poster, tutorial or the Design Cuts deal, please share this post to help spread the word.

In step two you say create layer mask and paste frame. I did so and the frame is still black but i think the paper is supposed to show through.

Am i doing something wrong or is there another step I have overlooked?

    Hey John,

You will have to bring the frame into photoshop on its own layer first. Then select and copy that layer.

To paste onto the layer mask, hold Option (alt on a PC) and click the layer mask thumbnail. Then paste the frame onto the mask.

Make sure to click back off of the layer mask and then delete the original layer with the frame on it. (called “layer 1″ in the picture)

    Hope that helps some!

I’d love if you would post the finished result here once you’re done!
